A decorative rectangular Victorian Davenport swing handle sardine or butter dish with a china liner richly gilded in a striking Imari pattern with rich iron red and cobalt blue colours. The silver plated pull off lid has a clam shaped finial. The open wire frame was manufactured by James Dixon & Son. The Davenport liner is in perfect condition and the silver wire work is in very good original condition.
