An unusual shaped Elkington & Co antique silver ink stand in oval form with a beaded border and two glass ink wells. The centre cast taper stick pulls off and leaves a rectangular box for stamps. The two glass bottles have been cut and frosted and have the correct silver tops. The silver base has been crested and bears an inscription dated 1875. The base stands on four beaded and shell cast feet. (1874)
